Collecting detected dumping
Reviewing Untreated Dumping Sites
Our service is designed to make the process of cleaning dumping streamlined and efficient. Let’s break down how to navigate the portal’s features to maximize your efforts. If you are a new user of the PERIOPSIS Portal, we highly recommend reading our article Navigating the Portal, in order to familiarize yourself with the different sections and features of the portal.
At the dashboard, you can monitor and manage all the detected dumping sites, to review, plan and prioritize dumping collection. The Map View will help you grasp the whole picture of untreated dumping in your Area Of Interest (AOI).
You can click on the different incidents of dumping to closely look at each dumping, see the satellite image of the incident, and discuss with your team actions that need to be taken before visiting the dumping site.
If you are coordinating a clean-up department, you can assign a dumping incident to a member of your team and monitor the cleaning process via the portal. To find out more about how to do this, we highly recommend reading our previous article Assigning Employees to Clean Dumping.
The directions’ button on the portal, also on the e-mail the assigned employees will receive in their inbox once the assignment takes place, will help you to better orchestrate clean-up routes and provide optimized navigation to the exact location of the dumping. Once your team heads over to the locations where dumping has been detected, the practical task of collecting the waste should take place.
After completing the cleaning procedures, you should go back to the portal and report the specific dumping incident as cleaned. At the portal go to the dashboard and find the specific dumping incident you want to report as cleaned. In the Incident Page of the incident, click Mark as Cleaned. In case the prediction was false and no dumping was on spot, you can click Mark as No Incident.
Once you click Mark as Cleaned, a form will pop-up, requesting information regarding the cleaning operation you have conducted. The report aims to capture essential information such as the date of the cleaning operation, the involved departments, equipment utilized, the number of workers deployed, and the duration it took to restore the area.
This information will offer valuable insights into both the operational and the financial aspects of the process.
